Knozone Air Quality Action Days (KAQADs)
Alerting your employees to Knozone Air Quality Action Days and making them aware of actions they can take on those days is a great way to encourage a healthy work environment and promote involvement in keeping central Indiana air safe for everyone.
KNOZONE AIR QUALITY ACTION DAYS
When weather conditions are conducive to the formation of unhealthy levels of smog or soot, the city of Indianapolis Office of Environmental Services calls a Knozone Air Quality Action Day (KAQAD). It is on these days in particular when the collective individual efforts of each of us can truly make a difference in air quality. When Indianapolis and its surrounding counties meet federal standards, the economic development obstacles associated with nonattainment status disappear.
